Ready, Set...Almost! (And a BIG Announcement)

"Oklahoma!  Where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain!"

Man, oh man they weren't kidding. The weather here is nuts!  Subtract 10 degrees off of the actual temperature due to the wind is what I'm learning, and today it's a high in the 40s!!!!  My kids clothing is so not prepared for this.  I'm still smooshing my daughter into her 6 month fleece footed jacket.

But, you know what cold weather is good for?  Staying inside crafting!  I finally have my little desk set up.  Sorta.  (It's needs some decor, no?)

Don't you just love that chair, y'all?  I can't wait to sit in it and begin sewing/painting/scrapbooking away.  So exciting to have my own little space, and I will definitely sit down to use it as soon as I get the pictures hung up around my house.  That's my next big task.  This house needs to feel like a home.

I have curtains to make so watch out for posts on that adventure, and I have some BIG news.

I am opening an Etsy shop!  Yep, one under the same name as my blog.  There is absolutely nothing up over there right now.  But, be on the lookout for fun items for playrooms and kids/babies bedrooms.  Button art, embroidered pillows, changing pad covers, quilts, maybe some watercolor paintings....  I'm all about making your little pumpkin as cozy as possible.  I'll post when I get some items up, but be on the lookout for some fun stuff at The Cozy Pumpkin on Etsy.  :)

Etsy Find!

So, I have been Etsy shopping.  I know.  It's a slippery slope.  I have found some cute clothing patterns for my daughter, and even a great shirt pattern for my son.  A quilt pattern and a cute decorative pattern as well.  Told ya it was a slippery slope.  But, one thing I happened upon is GENIUS!!!  At least I think it is.  I haven't made it yet, but I just had to share.  I think I bought the only remaining pattern of this EcoFriendly Bag from sewingwithme3.

However, beg her to put another one up or something because it is so neat.  The bag folds up into it's own little cover.  So smart.  So for a busy mom on the go like me who is always carrying around a diaper bag, I can throw this bag all folded up on itself in there as well and when I buy a couple of things I just unfold my Eco Bag and I have more room for my purchased items!  No plastic bags to worry about.  Or...the kids spill something on their clothes and I need somewhere to toss the soiled items (because lets face it...it happens), just whip out your eco bag.  Made by yourself!  How satisfying will that be?  I'm hoping very!

She also has another shop if you aren't an Etsy fan.  Check out I think Sew! for more patterns for bags, baby/kid shoes, and even some adult footwear.
